1. White Spots are a sign of calcium Deficiency

 

White spots known as "Leukinychia" indicate a minor trauma to the nail plate. They are harmless and occur commonly in healthy individuals. Medical professionals challenge the theory that these spots indicate calcium deficiency.

 

 

2. Nails need to breathe

 

Nails can't breathe! So no nails do not need to breathe.  The nail plate that makes up that hard, polish-able area of your fingernails and toenails is made up of non-living keratin. (just like your hair)
